Today’s Word From God

Ephesians 4: 32

And be ye kind one to another,…. Good, affable, courteous; which appears in looks, words, and actions; by looking pleasantly on each other, speaking kindly to one another, and mutually doing every good office that lies in their way, and in their power: “ Forgiving one another, even as God in Christ forgave you.

Our spiritual focus for  this Lenten Season  is on forgiveness. Paul states that we must be kind to each other in looks, words and actions. But more importantly, a Christian must learn how to forgive oneself and others.
Christ forgave us over 2,000 years ago while on the cross. In fact, the first of seven words spoken on the cross was  forgiveness-  ”Father, forgive them for they know not what they do”.

We ought to practice forgiving others as well- even before they ask for our forgiveness. God does not limit his love only to those who are good, so it is not up to us to decide who deserves our love and who doesn’t.

I invite you to pray  with me: Dear God, thank you for your love and your care. As I grow in faithfulness to you, I ask that you teach me how to love others regardless of what they have done to me. I release my offenders to you and I accept your grace and mercy. I now pray for my offenders that they too  will know you as a Savior and healer.
If you prayed with me and have received peace and victory- email me and share your testimony. God bless you.
